Hemozoin crystals exhibit a triclinic habit (Parasitol Res 100, 2007, 671-676). Triclinic crystals exhibit the least symmetry of the crystal systems and can be any shape without much restriction. The three unequal axes intersecting at oblique angles.http://jhmalaria.jhsph.edu/hemozoin/index.php?t=getfile&id=253
